Hillstead is an art and design studio rooted in a love for beautiful places, storied things, and the everyday moments worth remembering.

The name is personal. “Hill” comes from Hillary, the artist and designer behind Hillstead, while “stead” speaks to place, belonging, and the idea of something made to last. Together, Hillstead is a creative home for original art inspired by nature, travel, heritage, and the beauty found along the way.

Meet The Artist - Hillary

Hillary Wysong is an artist and designer based in Frisco, Texas. She has always been drawn to color, texture, old things, wild places, and the small details that give something character.

Much of Hillary’s inspiration comes from simply paying attention. Some ideas begin while sitting on the back porch at her family’s property in Round Top, Texas, looking out across the land. Others come from a horse in a pasture, wildflowers along a fence, an old photograph, a roadside sign, a place traveled, or a memory worth holding onto.

Her work is shaped by an appreciation for the landscapes and traditions of the American South and West, with influences ranging from Western heritage and Americana to botanicals, nature, and the places that make us feel at home.

Hillstead brings those influences together through original artwork, photography, mixed media and art prints that feel collected rather than manufactured, timeless rather than trendy.

Above all, Hillary creates art meant to be lived with. Pieces that bring character to a room, tell a story, or remind someone of a place, person, or moment they love.
